Tomato Soup with Pickled Ginger

Ingredients

  • Bouillon cube 2 pieces
  • Tomatoes 6 pieces
  • Celery stalk 1 stalk
  • Pickled garlic 0 oz
  • Dried Chamomile to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 1 teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the broth (add the cubes to boiling water and let it simmer).

Step 2

Chop the celery and tomatoes (into 2–4 pieces) and add them to the boiling broth, along with whole leaves of ginger. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes over medium heat until the skin starts to peel off the tomatoes. You can remove the skins or leave them.

Step 3

Before placing in the blender, let the soup cool slightly. Then blend, but not into a puree; I use the 'Soup' or 'Vegetables' setting to keep some chunks. Add spices to taste.
