Tomato-Carrot Puree Soup
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 6 pieces
- Onion 1 head
- Carrot 1 piece
- Dry Malted Milk Powder ¾ cup
- Milk 2 cups
- Wheat Flour 3 tablespoons
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Rice ½ cup
- Dill 0 oz
- Parsley 0 oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a glass pot, place the butter and finely chopped onion, heat for 3–4 minutes, add grated carrot, and heat for another 1–2 minutes.
Step 2
While stirring, add the flour, add peeled tomatoes (blanch in boiling water and remove the skin), and heat for another 5–6 minutes until thickened.
Step 3
Add dry and regular milk, 1 cup of cooked rice, season with salt and pepper, and cook for another 10–15 minutes, stirring. Sprinkle the finished soup with chopped herbs.
