Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 20 oz
- Water 10 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Milk 0 fl oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Butter 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grease 2 loaf pans (500 g each) with butter.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 480°F.
Step 3
Knead the dough. To do this, rub the yeast into the flour until it forms a uniform crumb. Add salt, then water and milk. Knead for 2-3 minutes until the dough starts to come together. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
Step 4
Divide the dough into 2 parts and shape into 2 tight loaves.
Step 5
Place the loaves in the pans and let them rise in a warm place for 1 hour, covered with a lid or a metal baking sheet.
Step 6
Put the pans in the oven, reduce the temperature to 430°F, and bake for 20-25 minutes without removing the baking sheet, then for another 5 minutes uncovered.
