Toast Bread for Bread Maker
Baking and Desserts • Author's
Description
This bread turns out light, snow-white, with a crispy crust. It's perfect for breakfast and hot toast simply with butter or orange jam. Sugar can be replaced with the same amount of honey. Recipe provided by food blogger Sarah Johnson.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Water 10 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil 2 spoons
- Sugar 2 spoons
- Salt 1½ spoons
- Dry yeast 1½ spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Add all the ingredients to the bread maker according to the instructions. Different bread makers may have different requirements: in some, wet ingredients are added first followed by dry ones, while in others, it's the opposite. Add the yeast to the flour in such a way that it does not come into contact with water and salt.
Step 2
Select the main program for white bread, 750 grams, with a medium or dark crust.
Step 3
It's best to cool the bread on a wire rack — this allows it to cool more evenly and prevents it from becoming soggy.
