Tiramisu with Whiskey

Ingredients

  • Whole egg 5 pieces
  • Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande 20 oz
  • Cocoa Powder 0 oz
  • Egg white 3 pieces
  • Powdered Sugar 5 oz
  • Vanilla Pod 1 piece
  • Irish Whiskey 0 fl oz
  • Freshly brewed green tea 15 fl oz
  • 70% Dark Chocolate 0 oz
  • Savoiardi Cookies 15 oz
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks with a pinch of salt.

Step 2

Whip the egg yolks with powdered sugar until the mixture noticeably lightens.

Step 3

Brew very strong coffee, add a couple of tablespoons of sugar and whiskey.

Step 4

Place half of the savoiardi in a dish and pour over some coffee (but leave enough for the second layer of savoiardi).

Step 5

Add mascarpone to the egg yolks with sugar. Gently mix, add the seeds from the vanilla pod, and mix again (if you like an alcoholic tiramisu, you can splash a little whiskey into the cream).

Step 6

When the mixture becomes homogeneous and smooth, gently fold in the whipped egg whites until no lumps remain.

Step 7

Incorporate the egg whites into the cream.

Step 8

Spread half of the cream over the first layer of savoiardi that has been soaked in coffee. Distribute evenly and sprinkle with cocoa powder.

Step 9

Arrange the second layer of savoiardi and pour over the remaining coffee.

Step 10

Spread the second portion of cream, distribute it, and sprinkle with cocoa powder and chocolate.

Step 11

Refrigerate for three hours.
