Tiramisu with Rum
Ingredients
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande 15 oz
- Savoiardi Cookies 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 4 pieces
- Espresso 3 cups
- Rum 5 fl oz
- Cocoa Powder 20 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk the egg yolks with sugar.
Step 2
In another bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Step 3
Add the mascarpone to the whipped yolks and fold in the whipped egg whites. Mix until smooth.
Step 4
Pour the rum into the coffee.
Step 5
Quickly layer the cookies, dipping them in the rum and coffee mixture. Arrange them tightly in the bottom of a rectangular dish.
Step 6
Pour the cheese and egg cream over the cookies.
Step 7
Add a second layer of cookies soaked in the coffee and rum.
Step 8
Again pour the cheese and egg cream, then make one more layer.
Step 9
Refrigerate for several hours.
Step 10
Before serving, dust generously with cocoa powder.
