Ingredients
- Bread Kvass 15 fl oz
- Rye Bread 5 oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Raisins 0 oz
- Coarse Salt 0 lbs
- Sugar 0 oz
- Thyme 2 sprigs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Cut the bread into large cubes.
Step 3
Place the bread on a baking sheet and dry it in an oven preheated to 355°F for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Pour the kvass into an enameled pot, add the rye croutons, sugar, yeast, raisins, and thyme.
Step 5
Mix well and leave at room temperature for 1 day.
Step 6
Combine the salt with the kvass mixture.
Step 7
Spread the entire mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and dry it in an oven preheated to 250°F until all the liquid has evaporated.
Step 8
Crush the large salt pieces in a mortar to a familiar size and transfer all the salt to a storage jar.
Step 9
Use Thursday salt in any traditional or non-traditional dishes.
