Description

Three-Color Bread

Ingredients

  • Spinach 5 oz
  • Wheat Flour 35 oz
  • Paprika 1 teaspoon
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Poppy seed paste 0 oz
  • Butternut Squash 10 oz
  • Toasted Sesame 0 oz
  • Ground Caraway 1⅕ teaspoons
  • Ocean salt 1½ teaspoons
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1½ pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

For the green bread, blend the spinach with a small amount of water (about 100 ml) and oil, then add the puree to the sifted flour with yeast and salt. Knead the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Step 2

For the red bread, add ground paprika and puree from blanched red pepper and water (about 120 ml) to the sifted flour with yeast and salt. Place in a warm area to rise for 1 hour.

Step 3

For the yellow bread, pour the puree from roasted squash with water (50–70 ml) into the sifted flour with yeast and salt. Also, let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Step 4

Take approximately equal pieces of dough in different colors. On a floured surface, roll out equal strips. Join the top ends of the strips and braid them loosely (the braid in the photo is a bit tight). Secure the ends.

Step 5

Cover the bread with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for 20–30 minutes. Then moisten the top with water and sprinkle each type of dough with its respective seeds.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 430°F for 30–35 minutes.
