Thin crepes with banana-rum sauce
Ingredients
- Butter 3 tablespoons
- Brown Sugar ½ cup
- Ground Cinnamon 0.1 teaspoon
- Bananas 2 pieces
- Coarse Salt a pinch
- Ground Nutmeg a pinch
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Dark rum ¼ cup
- Thin Crepes 4 pieces
- Crème fraîche ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a skillet, combine the butter and sugar and heat over medium heat for 1–2 minutes.
Step 2
Add the peeled and sliced bananas, cinnamon, a pinch of salt, nutmeg, and vanilla. Stir and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
Step 3
Remove from heat and add the rum. Return to heat and carefully ignite with a long match. Allow to burn for 1 minute.
Step 4
Place the crepes, folded in half, on plates, drizzle with the sauce, fold again, and drizzle once more. Serve immediately, garnished with crème fraîche.
