The Most Chocolatey Flourless Cookies
Ingredients
- Cocoa Powder 1 cup
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar 1 cup
- Salt a pinch
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Nuts to taste
- Mini Chocolate Chips to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whip the room temperature egg whites until frothy.
Step 2
Combine and sift the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
Step 3
Carefully add the cocoa powder mixture to the egg whites in small portions, then add vanilla, nuts, or chocolate chips. The mixture should have a thick, sticky consistency (like for brownies).
Step 4
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it with vegetable oil.
Step 5
Drop the cookie dough by tablespoonfuls (1 tablespoon) onto the baking sheet, leaving 3 cm between each. They will expand in size. If desired and if you have creativity, you can decorate the cookies with coconut, chocolate shavings, nuts, etc.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 13–15 minutes. The tops of the cookies should crack slightly.
Step 7
Once ready, remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
