Tea Cookies
Ingredients
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Sugar 5 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Butter 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with sugar. Let the butter or margarine soften slightly and add it to the mixture, cutting it into pieces. Mix the mass well with a spoon (you can use a mixer). Add a small pinch of salt. Gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture, sifting it through a sieve (optional). Stir the dough. Sprinkle some flour on top, then place it in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
Step 2
Pinch off small portions of the dough and roll it out on a floured surface. The thickness of the dough should be about 0.5 cm. Use a small plate, cookie cutters, or simply a knife to cut out shapes from the dough.
Step 3
Place the future cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased with butter.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 355°F and only then place the baking sheet inside. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes. Sprinkle hot cookies with sugar and let them cool.
