Tart with Mandarins

Ingredients

  • Butter 5 oz
  • Whole egg 2 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Ground Almonds 0 oz
  • Salt a pinch
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Water 0 fl oz
  • Cottage cheese 0 oz
  • Ricotta cheese 10 oz
  • Corn Starch 0 oz
  • Chicken Egg 2 pieces
  • Mandarins 10 oz
  • Fruit Jelly 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the dough. In a bowl, mix the butter, flour, almond flour, salt, and sugar (25 g).

Step 2

Rub the mixture with your hands until crumbly. Add the egg yolks.

Step 3

Knead the dough, gradually adding cold water.

Step 4

Place the dough between sheets of parchment paper and roll it out into a thin layer.

Step 5

Transfer it using the paper into a greased tart pan and form the edges.

Step 6

Mix the ricotta with sugar (sugar can be adjusted to taste; I used 100 g) and eggs.

Step 7

Add the cornstarch and the creamy cottage cheese.

Step 8

Pour the filling into the tart shell (it is recommended to prick the dough with a fork beforehand). Bake at 200°C for 30 minutes. Once done, let it cool.

Step 9

Peel the mandarins from their skin and seeds. Arrange the mandarin segments on the cooled tart.

Step 10

Prepare the jelly according to the instructions on the back of the packet and pour it over the tart.
