Description

If you don't have enough filling (you used too much for each patty), you can simply make pastries with jam from the remaining dough balls. For a shiny finish, brush the syrniki with beaten egg before baking. You can check for doneness with a wooden stick (match or toothpick) by poking the dough. If the syrniki are ready, the stick will come out dry and clean.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 35 oz
  • Sugar 20 oz
  • Chocolate eggs 3 pieces
  • Margarine 10 oz
  • Sour Cream 10 oz
  • Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
  • Salt a pinch
  • Cottage cheese 25 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the margarine into squares and beat it with 450 grams of sugar.

Step 2

Add 2 eggs and beat well again.

Step 3

Add the sour cream and mix.

Step 4

Add the baking soda, salt, and 1 kg of flour, and knead the dough.

Step 5

Divide the dough into 36 balls.

Step 6

For the cottage cheese filling, mix 60 grams of flour, 1 egg, 650 grams of cottage cheese, and 150 grams of sugar.

Step 7

Roll out each ball and place the filling on one half of the resulting dough circle. Cover it with the other half without sealing.

Step 8

Place the syrniki on a baking sheet and put them in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 20–25 minutes.
