Description
For this recipe, it's best to use brown sugar, but it can be substituted with regular sugar.
Ingredients
- Carrot 18 pieces
- Sugar ½ cup
- Butter 5 oz
- Water ⅓ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thoroughly mix the butter, sugar, water, and, if desired, a pinch of ground cinnamon. Wash the carrots thoroughly, remove any damaged skin areas, but do not peel them. Young carrots have a thin enough skin.
Step 2
Place the carrots in a fireproof baking dish, previously greased with a small amount of melted butter, and pour the butter-sugar mixture over them. Preheat the oven to 430°F (428 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake for 1 hour.
