Swedish Christmas Cookies
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 glasses
- Cardamom 2 spoons
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Citrus Zest Mix 1 tablespoon
- Colored sugar pens 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the flour with cardamom and salt.
Step 2
Beat the butter and sugar together until smooth. Add the egg, vanilla, and lemon zest to the mixture, and mix everything thoroughly with a mixer.
Step 3
Prepare the dough by mixing both prepared mixtures.
Step 4
Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll them into logs. To achieve a perfect shape and smooth surface, wrap the dough in plastic wrap before rolling.
Step 5
Chill the dough by placing it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Step 6
Roll the chilled dough in colored sugar and cut out cookies from it (about 1 cm thick).
Step 7
Bake in the oven on parchment paper at 320°F for about 20-25 minutes.
