Sun-Dried Tomatoes with Herbes de Provence and Thyme
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 55 oz
- Honey to taste
- Lemon 1 piece
- Flaky sea salt to taste
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Lemon-Pepper Mix to taste
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Herbes de Provence to taste
- Fresh basil leaves to taste
- Olive Oil 6 tablespoons
- Thyme to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the tomatoes, dry them, cut them in half, and remove the stems.
Step 2
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the tomatoes cut side up, and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Drizzle the tomatoes with olive oil. Bake at 300°F for about 4 to 4.5 hours with the oven door slightly open.
Step 4
Pour some oil into the bottom of a jar, add Herbes de Provence, garlic, and then layer the tomatoes, pouring oil over them, alternating until the jar is filled.
Step 5
Seal with a lid and store in a dark, cool place (preferably in the refrigerator).
