Summer Berry Pie

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 4 cups
  • Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
  • Margarine 5 oz
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Activated Baking Soda a pinch
  • Fresh Berries to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix margarine, yolks, baking soda, and add 3 cups of flour. Knead the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Whip the egg whites with 1 cup of sugar until peaks form.

Step 4

Mix 1/3 of the dough with flour until it reaches a crumbly consistency.

Step 5

On a greased baking sheet, spread 2/3 of the dough, top with any berries, frozen ones can be used out of season. Spread the whipped egg whites over the berries. Sprinkle the crumb mixture on top. Bake in the oven at 200°C (392°F) until golden brown.

Step 6

Serve cooled.
