Sugar Cottage Cheese Cookies
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese 15 oz
- Margarine 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Sugar to taste
- Salt to taste
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Margarine is chopped and then grated on a coarse grater, mixed with the mashed cottage cheese, and salted.
Step 2
After that, the mixture is combined with flour and baking soda, and then the dough is kneaded. The dough is rolled out and cut into circles.
Step 3
Each circle of dough is dipped in sugar on one side, then folded in half so that the sugar is inside. This half-circle is again dipped in sugar on one side and folded as before.
Step 4
The edges are cut with a knife to resemble feathers.
Step 5
The resulting cookies are dipped again in sugar, then placed on a baking sheet, sugar side up, and baked until done.
