Sugar and Raisin Rolls 'Roses'
Ingredients
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Vanillin 1 piece
- Raisins 5 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Butter 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Combine the yeast with 1 teaspoon of sugar, add warm milk, and let it rise for about 20 minutes.
Step 2
Melt half of the butter.
Step 3
Sift the flour.
Step 4
In a bowl, combine the melted half of the butter, half of the sugar, vanilla extract, and the activated yeast.
Step 5
Mix and add the flour. Knead the dough and place it in a warm spot.
Step 6
When well risen, roll out the dough into a square that is 1 cm thick.
Step 7
Spread the second half of the melted butter over it, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and raisins. Roll it up and cut into pieces about 1–1.5 inches long.
Step 8
Place the rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise well for another 30 minutes.
