Strudel with poppy seeds, nuts, and dried apricots
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 3 cups
- Butter 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
- Water ¾ cup
- Poppy seed paste 5 oz
- Dried Apricots 5 oz
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Sugar 1 cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rub the flour with the butter, add the eggs and water, knead the dough, and leave it in the cold overnight.
Step 2
Pour boiling water over the poppy seeds twice. Drain the water, add sugar, and grind in a mortar or poppy seed grinder.
Step 3
Chop the dried apricots and coarsely chop the walnuts.
Step 4
Roll out the dough, place the filling, roll it up, prick with a fork, and bake for at least 40 minutes at 355°F.
