Strawberry Tiramisu
Ingredients
- Star anise ½ piece
- Strawberry ½ kg
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande 10 oz
- Red Grape Juice 5 fl oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Grappa 3 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar 4 tablespoons
- Savoiardi Cookies 10 pieces
- Ground clove 3 pieces
- Sugar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Select half of the strawberries; if they are large, cut them in half or into quarters.
Step 2
Pour the wine into a saucepan, add the star anise, cloves, strawberries, two tablespoons of powdered sugar, and 1 tablespoon of grappa. Cook until thickened for about 15 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the spices, blend the sauce until smooth, and let it cool.
Step 4
Separate the eggs into yolks and whites. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form with a pinch of salt. Whip the yolks with sugar until pale. Mix the yolks with mascarpone, adding the remaining grappa. Then gently fold in the egg whites.
Step 5
Soak the cookies in the strawberry sauce. Slice the remaining strawberries. Layer in dessert cups: cookies, mascarpone, strawberries sprinkled with powdered sugar. Top with a berry and mint leaves.
