Strawberry Cake
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 5 pieces
- Sugar 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Chili jam 5 fl oz
- Water 5 fl oz
- Strawberry 20 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese 10 oz
- 33% Cream 5 fl oz
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
- Butter 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Using a mixer, beat 5 eggs and sugar on low speed. Once the eggs and sugar are combined, continue beating on medium-high speed for about 10 minutes or until the volume triples.
Step 3
Sift the flour with the baking powder.
Step 4
Gradually add the flour to the egg mixture, folding it in with a silicone spatula. Mix gently, being careful not to burst the air bubbles in the batter.
Step 5
Grease a springform pan with butter and line it with parchment paper.
Step 6
Pour the batter into the baking pan and place it in the oven for 30 minutes. Check the sponge cake for doneness with a toothpick: insert it into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
Step 7
Allow the sponge cake to cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then, remove it and cool on a wire rack.
Step 8
In a small saucepan, combine the jam and water and heat gently. The mixture should achieve a syrup-like consistency.
Step 9
For the cream, combine cream cheese, cold heavy cream, and powdered sugar in a mixer with a paddle attachment.
Step 10
Wash the strawberries and pat them dry, remove the stems, and cut them in half.
Step 11
Cut the cooled sponge cake in half lengthwise.
Step 12
Soak the bottom layer of the sponge cake with half of the syrup.
Step 13
Spread half of the cream, then add half of the strawberries on top.
Step 14
Place the second half of the cake on top, with the cut side facing up. First, soak it with syrup, then spread the cream over it. Decorate the cake with the remaining strawberries.
Step 15
Place the finished strawberry cake in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours, then it can be served with tea or coffee.
