Strawberry and Passion Fruit Cake
Ingredients
- Egg white 4 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Vinegar essence 1 teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar 10 oz
- Corn Starch 1 teaspoon
- Cream 10 fl oz
- Strawberry 20 oz
- Passion Fruit 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whip the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form. While continuing to whip, add the sugar.
Step 2
Sprinkle the mixture with vinegar and dust with cornstarch. Whip thoroughly and spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Bake the meringue for 2 hours. Turn off the oven and leave the meringue inside until completely cool. Carefully remove the meringue from the parchment.
Step 4
Whip the cream.
Step 5
Assemble the cake by alternating layers of meringue and whipped cream.
Step 6
Top with strawberries.
Step 7
Scoop out the passion fruit pulp and distribute the seeds over the surface of the cake.
