Strawberries in Syrup
Ingredients
- Strawberry 20 oz
- Sugar 10 oz
- Water 15 fl oz
- Thyme 1 sprig

Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
In a saucepan, add the sugar, pour in the water, and add the sprig of thyme.
Step 3
Place the saucepan over heat, bring to a boil, and simmer the syrup until it reduces by half. Be careful not to let the syrup turn into caramel.
Step 4
At the end, remove the sprig of thyme from the syrup: it is no longer needed.
Step 5
Pour the syrup over the strawberries so that the berries are completely covered.
Step 6
Serve the strawberries in syrup with any desserts that need a touch of elegance, such as plain vanilla ice cream.
