Strata with Fresh Berries and Ricotta
Ingredients
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Honey 3 tablespoons
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Sugar 3 tablespoons
- Ricotta cheese ½ cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Orange juice concentrate ¼ cup
- White bread 4 slices
- Frozen black currant puree 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the honey.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the eggs, ricotta, and sugar. Whisk with a fork and add the milk, orange juice, and torn pieces of white bread. Gently fold in the thawed berries. Add the honey mixture.
Step 3
Pour the mixture into a baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 2-12 hours.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 5
Bake the strata for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes and serve.
