
Steamed Sponge Cake

Description

Ingredients
- Margarine 5 oz
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Baking Powder 5 oz
- Vinegar essence ½ tablespoon
- Milk 2 tablespoons
- Raisins 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour with baking powder, beat the margarine with powdered sugar until fluffy and homogeneous. Continue beating and add the eggs one at a time. Add the flour, vanilla essence, and milk. Mix well.
Step 2
Grease a rice cooking bowl or baking mold generously with oil. Transfer the batter into it. Grease a circle of parchment paper with oil and cover the baking mold with it. Then cover with plastic wrap.
Step 3
Place the baking mold in a large bowl of a steamer. Cook for 45 minutes, then add water to the steamer. Reset the timer, press the VITAMIN+ function, and continue baking for another 35-45 minutes. Check for doneness by piercing the sponge with a wooden toothpick.
Step 4
Transfer the finished sponge to a serving platter.
