Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Ammonium carbonate ¼ spoons
- Chili jam 0 fl oz
- Water ¾ spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cream the butter and 75 g of sugar until pale, then add the egg.
Step 2
Mix the flour with ammonium carbonate, then add it to the butter-egg mixture and knead the dough.
Step 3
Divide the dough into three equal parts, roll out strips, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 4
Create grooves in the center of each strip. Spread the jam along the length of the grooves.
Step 5
Bake in an oven preheated to 390°F for 10-12 minutes.
Step 6
Make the glaze: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, place it over heat, and wait for the sugar to dissolve without stirring.
Step 7
Apply the glaze along its entire length next to the jam. You can use a piping bag for this. Cut into squares and allow them to cool on a wire rack.
