Ingredients

  • Sugar 2 cups
  • Farm fresh eggs 6 pieces
  • Walnuts 10 oz
  • Breadcrumbs 3 tablespoons
  • Sour Cream 10 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Separate the egg whites from the yolks, and beat them with a mixer until they triple in volume. Add one cup of walnuts and breadcrumbs to the mixture. Gradually add one cup of sugar, making sure to thoroughly mix the contents of the mixer.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 390°F. Line a baking sheet with greased parchment paper and pour the batter on top. Bake for 45 minutes.

Step 3

Prepare the cream: mix the sour cream with the remaining sugar and walnuts. Once the cake is baked, let it cool slightly, cut it in half horizontally, and spread cream on the bottom layer. Cover with the second layer. The cake is ready.

Step 4

Optionally, you can also lightly spread sour cream on the top layer and sprinkle with either walnuts, chocolate, or marmalade to taste.
