Sponge Pineapple Cake
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Sugar 1 cup
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Farm fresh eggs 6 pieces
- Milk 2 cups
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
- Pineapple 1 piece
- Cream 15 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Whip the egg whites with sugar until frothy and gradually add 150 g of flour. Beat the yolks until smooth and gently fold into the main mixture.
Step 3
Grease a baking pan with butter, pour the batter into it, and bake for about 20 minutes. Let it cool in the oven without removing it.
Step 4
To prepare the cream, mix the egg yolks with powdered sugar and flour, pour in warm milk, and cook over low heat, stirring, until thickened.
Step 5
Cut the sponge cake into three layers. Soak the top and bottom layers with pineapple syrup mixed with liqueur.
Step 6
Assemble the cake, layering it with cream. Spread whipped cream on the surface of the cake and top with thin rings of pineapple.
