Sponge Cake with Sour Cream
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Sugar 2 cups
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- 20% Sour Cream 1 cup
- Fresh Berries 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Step 2
Add 3/4 cup of sugar to the yolks. Whip the egg whites until foamy and add the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar.
Step 3
Add 1/3 of the egg whites to the yolks and mix. Gradually add the flour and baking powder. Mix well.
Step 4
Add the remaining egg whites to the batter. Gently fold in.
Step 5
Bake at 180°C for 20-30 minutes, depending on the oven.
Step 6
For the cream, whip the sour cream and add sugar.
Step 7
On the cooled sponge cake, place the berries and pour over the cream. Chill in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours before serving to allow the cream to set.
