Sponge Cake with Pears
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Baking Powder ½ teaspoon
- Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
- Salt a pinch
- Sugar 0.7 cups
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Pears 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whisk the eggs and sugar.
Step 2
Mix the flour (sifted) with salt, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Step 3
Gradually add the flour to the eggs.
Step 4
Peel one pear, leaving the stem. Peel the second pear and slice it.
Step 5
Pour the batter into a greased pan (except for the sides). Place the whole pear in the center and arrange the slices around it.
Step 6
Bake for 20–25 minutes at 355°F.
