Ingredients
- Coarsely Ground Rye Flour ½ cup
- Wheat Flour ½ cup
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Brown Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Ground Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Ground Nutmeg ¼ teaspoon
- Ground clove ¼ teaspoon
- Milk 1 cup
- Grated Ginger Root ¼ teaspoon
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Egg white 1 piece
- Chestnut puree ½ cup
- Vegetable Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In one bowl, mix both flours, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
Step 2
In another bowl, combine the egg, milk, butter, and pumpkin puree.
Step 3
Combine both mixtures and mix well.
Step 4
In a skillet, heat a small amount of vegetable oil. Pour about 0.25 cup of batter into the skillet, spread it across the surface, and cook for 2–3 minutes until golden brown. Then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes. Repeat the same with the remaining batter.
