Spiced Carrot Cake
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 3 pieces
- Sugar 15 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Carrot 15 oz
- Prunes 0 oz
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Ground clove 1 teaspoon
- Light Raisins, Seedless 5 oz
- Nutmeg 1 teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda a pinch
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with 300 g of sugar until smooth.
Step 2
Add melted butter while continuing to beat.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, mix the flour and finely grated carrot.
Step 4
Add raisins, prunes, spices, and the remaining 100 g of sugar to the flour and carrot mixture.
Step 5
Then combine both mixtures and add the baking soda that has been quenched with lemon juice.
Step 6
Bake at a temperature of 180–390°F for about 30–40 minutes.
Step 7
Let it cool slightly.
Step 8
You can top it with whipped cream or sour cream mixed with sugar, or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
