Description

Sour Cream Cocoa Cake

Ingredients

  • Egg white 3 pieces
  • Sour Cream 15 oz
  • Sugar 10 oz
  • Wheat Flour 10 oz
  • Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
  • Cocoa Powder 3 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix the egg with sugar. Add baking soda, sour cream, and flour. Mix well until a homogeneous mass is obtained.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 355°F. Divide the dough into three parts. Grease the baking pan with butter.

Step 3

Pour 1/3 of the dough into the pan (you can optionally add poppy seeds or raisins), add three tablespoons of cocoa to the remaining 2/3 of the dough, mix, divide the dough in half, and bake separately. Bake the layers for about 12 minutes.

Step 4

While the layers are baking, make the cream: mix sour cream with sugar and place it in the refrigerator. Cool the baked layers. Before spreading the cream on the layers, poke them with a fork in several places to help them soak better. Place the white layer in the middle.

Step 5

Let the finished cake rest in the refrigerator for 6 hours (preferably overnight).
