Sour Cream Cake with Bananas Made from Gingerbread without Baking
Baking and Desserts • Author's
Description
You can use other fruits. You can add more nuts, layer by layer, or omit them altogether (to taste). With this arrangement, the gingerbread resembles regular chocolate layers with a fragrant banana filling. If the gingerbread is thickly covered with sour cream, the cake will have a tender consistency.
Ingredients
- Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies 20 oz
- 20% Sour Cream 20 oz
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
- Bananas 2 pieces
- Nuts to taste
- Coconut flakes to taste
- Chocolate to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
To prepare the cake from gingerbread with bananas, cut the gingerbread in half lengthwise.
Step 2
Slice the bananas into rounds.
Step 3
Mix the sour cream with powdered sugar.
Step 4
Chop the nuts coarsely.
Step 5
Grate the chocolate.
Step 6
Line a bowl with plastic wrap, allowing the edges to hang over.
Step 7
Dip the gingerbread slices in sour cream and layer them at the bottom of the bowl, filling gaps with broken pieces of gingerbread.
Step 8
Next, layer the bananas, followed by another layer of gingerbread, then another layer of bananas, and sprinkle with nuts.
Step 9
Finally, add a layer of gingerbread on top. There can be more layers, depending on the size of the mold and the amount of ingredients.
Step 10
Let it sit at room temperature for a few hours, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Invert onto a plate and remove the wrap.
Step 11
When serving, the gingerbread cake with bananas can be decorated with grated chocolate, cocoa, or drizzled with melted dark chocolate and sprinkled with coconut flakes.
