Description
Irish soda bread — made without yeast. Wheat flour, baking soda, salt, buttermilk.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 20 oz
- Activated Baking Soda 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 tablespoon
- Buttermilk 10 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Sift the flour.
Step 3
In a deep bowl, combine the sifted flour with the baking soda and salt.
Step 4
Gradually fold in the buttermilk until the dough comes together into a cohesive mass.
Step 5
Dust the work surface with flour.
Step 6
Shape into a flat round loaf.
Step 7
Transfer to a baking sheet and make a small cross-shaped cut on the bread.
Step 8
Place in an oven preheated to 430°F.
Step 9
Bake for about 45 minutes.
Step 10
Serve hot.
