Simple Tomato Soup

Description
Serve with sour cream or mild mozzarella cheese, as the soup is already quite rich. And, of course, with toast made from any dark bread. Enjoy everyone)
Ingredients
- Garlic 1½ cloves
- Onion ½ head
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 30 oz
- Fresh basil leaves 3 stems
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a dry, heated skillet, sauté the chopped onion and garlic.
Step 2
Once the onion and garlic are browned, add 2 sprigs of chopped basil.
Step 3
After a minute, add the tomatoes in their own juice along with all the sauce from the can, add the olive oil, and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes, covered.
Step 4
Remove from heat and blend the resulting soup in a blender. It's important not to overdo it; just a few seconds will suffice. We should get chopped pieces of tomatoes, not a cream. You can also add the remaining basil sprig to the blender.
