Ingredients
- Coarse Cornmeal 1 cup
- Water 2 cups
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Butter 0 oz

Step 1
To prepare the polenta, pour 2 cups of water into a pot and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Gradually add the cornmeal while constantly stirring.
Step 3
Place the pot with the polenta over a double boiler, stirring continuously.
Step 4
Cook for 15–20 minutes, adding water if necessary.
Step 5
Add the butter to the polenta and season with salt. Mix well and pour into a rectangular mold to set.
Step 6
Allow the corn mixture to cool.
Step 7
Cut the cooled polenta into pieces.
