Description

Instead of cream, you can use sour cream (sugar + sour cream). The cake can be left plain, berries or jam can be added, and strawberries can be used instead of bananas for a completely different cake.

Ingredients

  • Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Wheat Flour 2 cups
  • Fermented Milk 1 cup
  • Salt a pinch
  • Cocoa Powder 5 oz
  • Bananas 3 pieces
  • 33% Cream 10 fl oz
  • Fresh Berries 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Beat the eggs with 1 cup of sugar until the volume increases by about 2 times.

Step 2

Add flour, sour milk (or kefir), a packet of baking powder, and a pinch of salt to the eggs. Add cocoa powder (about 5 tablespoons) or melted chocolate.

Step 3

Bake in the oven until fully cooked (check with a toothpick) at 180–200°C for about 40 minutes, or as I did, in a slow cooker on the 'bake' setting (1 hour).

Step 4

Cut the finished cake into 2 parts, soak them with sugar syrup (2 tablespoons of sugar + 2 tablespoons of boiling water). Let it cool.

Step 5

Slice the bananas thinly and place them on the cake. Whip the cream. Spread some of the cream over the bananas.

Step 6

Place the other cake layer on top, spread the remaining cream on it. Dust with cocoa powder and decorate with any berries.
