Description

Simple – because we will use ready-made dough; we will make it ourselves next time. It turns out to be a wonderful, aromatic strudel with a juicy filling.

Ingredients

  • Apple 3 pieces
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Puff Pastry 10 oz
  • Ground Cinnamon 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped almonds 0 oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Cookie 0 oz
  • Egg white 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel the apples and remove the core, then slice them into even pieces. Crush the cookies (you can substitute with breadcrumbs) into crumbs and finely chop the almonds. In a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.

Step 2

Roll out the dough into a rectangle, very thinly. If you're not sure you can roll it into a roll without damaging the dough, you can roll it out on a towel generously sprinkled with flour, which can then be used to help gather the pie.

Step 3

Place the apples on the dough (starting from the side closest to you and leaving a couple of centimeters from the edge), sprinkle them with the sugar-cinnamon mixture, then with the crumbs and almonds. Finally, evenly distribute the chopped butter along the entire length.

Step 4

The most critical moment is assembling the roll. It's convenient to shape it using the towel on which the dough was rolled out. Carefully fold the edges of the roll, gently press it to evenly distribute the filling, and pinch the edge.

Step 5

Place the roll on a baking sheet greased with butter or lined with parchment paper and evenly brush it with the beaten egg to make our beauty shine, paying special attention to the seam.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F until golden brown – this takes about 20 minutes.

Step 7

Serve the cooled strudel very deliciously with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
