
Simple Almond Cookies

Description
Almond cookies can be paired together by spreading the flat side of one half with warm jam, jelly, or melted chocolate.
Ingredients
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Sugar 1¾ cups
- Wheat Flour ½ cup
- Egg white 6 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
To prepare the cookies, first blanch the almonds, remove their skins, and let them dry in a warm place. Once dried, finely grind the almonds in a mortar, gradually adding 2–3 egg whites and sugar.
Step 2
Add the remaining egg whites to the almond mixture, mix well, and warm it slightly; then let it cool a bit, add the flour, and mix; after that, transfer it to a piping bag and pipe small rounds onto a sheet of paper.
Step 3
Place the prepared cookies on a baking sheet and bake in a moderate oven. During baking, the cookies should become golden and dry well.
Step 4
When the cookies are ready, transfer them with the paper to a napkin slightly moistened with water.
Step 5
Once the cookies start to come away from the paper, remove them and place them in a bowl.
