Shortcrust Pastry Pie with Jam

Ingredients

  • Margarine 5 oz
  • Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Wheat Flour 20 oz
  • Vanillin a pinch
  • Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Jam 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Melt the margarine and let it cool.

Step 2

In a bowl, add the sugar, melted margarine, eggs, vanillin, and mix well. Gradually add the sifted flour mixed with baking powder and knead the dough. The dough should not be too stiff.

Step 3

Divide the dough into 2 unequal parts. Place the smaller part of the dough in the freezer for about an hour. Evenly spread the larger part of the dough on a baking sheet. The dough can be rolled out thinly or laid out in a thicker layer.

Step 4

On top of the dough, spread a layer of jam and carefully smooth it out with a spoon. Take the smaller part of the dough from the freezer and grate it over the jam using a coarse grater.

Step 5

Place the pie in a preheated oven at 390°F and bake for 20-25 minutes.
