Shortbread pastries with walnuts and orange jam
Ingredients
- Whole egg 3 pieces
- Sugar 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Ground clove a pinch
- Ground Cinnamon a pinch
- Orange Syrup to taste
- Lemon ½ piece
- Walnuts 10 oz
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Liquid dark chocolate 5 oz
- Rum 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Knead the shortbread dough from boiled yolks, sugar, butter, flour, and spices. Roll out half of the dough, place it on a greased baking sheet, and spread a thin layer of jam on top.
Step 2
Mix the nuts, eggs, sugar, rum, and evenly distribute this mixture over the jam.
Step 3
Roll out the second half of the dough and cover the filling with it. Bake for 10–20 minutes at 390°F.
Step 4
Prepare the chocolate glaze and apply it to the cooled cake. Once the glaze hardens, cut into pastries.
