Step 1
Soften the margarine. Whisk the egg with sugar and vanilla, then add the margarine and mix thoroughly. Add the baking soda that has been dissolved in vinegar.
Step 2
Add the flour and knead into a soft, elastic dough.

Roll out the dough, cut out circles or diamonds, tear off pieces, etc.
Step 4
Arrange the cookies on a baking sheet (no greasing needed) and place them in the preheated oven. Bake until golden brown.
