  • Activated Baking Soda a pinch
  • Powdered Sugar 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Beat the softened butter with sugar until creamy, adding sugar in portions.

Step 2

Add one egg and a pinch of baking soda, continuing to beat.

Step 3

Gradually add the sifted flour and knead into a pliable dough.

Step 4

Place the dough in a bag and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes.

Step 5

Roll out the dough on a floured surface, cut into desired shapes, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 20–30 minutes.

Step 7

Separate the egg white from the yolk, and beat the egg white with a whisk or fork; when the first bubbles appear, gradually add the sifted powdered sugar until a thick white icing is formed.

Step 8

Cover the cooled cookies with icing.
