Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1½ kg
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Sour Cream 15 oz
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Salt a pinch
- Dry yeast 1 tablespoon
- Hazelnut 15 oz
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the dough, add 3 tablespoons of warm water to the dry yeast and let it sit for 10–15 minutes (if you want the yeast to rise quickly, place the glass in a deep bowl of hot water).
Step 2
Warm the milk, melt the butter, and combine them. Add the sour cream, egg whites, sugar, and salt. The mixture should be warm because it is a yeast dough (if the mixture is cold, place it over low heat and stir for a while until it slightly warms up). Then add the yeast. Finally, add the flour and knead the dough well. Place the dough in a warm place to rise for about 1 hour.
Step 3
Meanwhile, prepare the filling. To do this, roast the hazelnuts until golden to make them easier to peel. Add sugar to the peeled nuts and grind them.
Step 4
Divide the risen dough into small balls and roll each out to a diameter of 12–15 cm. Place 1 tablespoon of filling on each and pinch the edges to form a crescent.
Step 5
Place the pastries on a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven until done.
