Ingredients
- Salt to taste
- Toasted Sesame 0 oz
- Unbleached flour crackers 10 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Water 10 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 480°F.
Step 2
Mix both types of flour, rub in the yeast until crumbly. Add salt, water, and knead the dough. Form the dough into a ball, cover, and let it rest for 1 hour.
Step 3
Place the dough on a surface, divide it into 12 pieces, roll them into balls, and let them rest for 5 minutes.
Step 4
On a floured surface, shape the dough into twists: flatten the balls into rectangles, divide them into 3 strips, and braid. Twist the ends to make them pointed. Sprinkle sesame seeds on the surface. Brush the twists with water and roll them in the seeds. Place on a baking sheet, cover with a towel, and let rise for 45 minutes.
Step 5
Bake the twists in the oven. Spray the oven walls with water from a spray bottle, reduce the temperature to 430°F, and bake for 10–15 minutes.
