Description
SESAME. The seed contains 25% protein and 65% essential oil; organic acids, amino acids histidine and tryptophan, vitamins C and E, pectins and resinous substances, mucilage, phytosterol, proteins, and soluble carbohydrates. Sesame is a rejuvenating tonic for Vata constitution, as well as for bones and teeth. Black seeds are better as they contain more solar energy. Sesame seeds have a sattvic nature and generate sattvic tissues in the body, making them excellent food for those practicing yoga (30g daily). Caution: Sesame seeds are contraindicated in cases of increased blood clotting, tendency to thrombosis, and varicose disease.
Ingredients
- Toasted Sesame 5 oz
- Peanut Sprouts 0 oz
- Dates 0 oz
- Honey 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sort the sesame seeds, and shell the peanuts
Step 2
Toast the sesame seeds and peanuts in a pan (be careful not to burn them). Let cool
Step 3
Meanwhile, pit the dates
Step 4
In a blender, grind the sesame seeds and peanuts, then add the dates and honey
Step 5
Blend until smooth (or as smooth as possible)
Step 6
Transfer to a container, pack down, and refrigerate
Step 7
After some time, serve to little sweet tooths
