Sesame Candies
Ingredients
- Honey 0 fl oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Orange Syrup 0 oz
- Toasted Sesame 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Combine honey, jam, and sugar in a pot, bring to a boil, and simmer while stirring for 10 minutes.
Step 2
When the caramel turns amber-golden and becomes homogeneous, drop a bit of it into cold water. It should quickly 'set' and after a few seconds be soft (not hard) enough to hold its shape.
Step 3
Add the sesame seeds. Prepare parchment paper.
Step 4
Using a teaspoon, measure out the required amount of the mixture and shape it. Insert a stick into the caramel on top: add a few more drops of caramel for security. Since the caramel hardens quickly, it should be warmed up as needed to continue making the candies. Leave to cool completely at room temperature.
