Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 0.7 cups
- Sugar 0.7 cups
- Chopped almonds 2 tablespoons
- Butter 10 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Egg white 5 pieces
- Milk 1 cup
- Vanilla salt ½ pod
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whisk the egg yolks with sugar. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and combine with the yolks, sifted flour, and ground almonds. Pour the batter into a flat baking dish, filling it to a height of 2.5–3 cm, and bake for 25–30 minutes at 390°F.
Step 2
To prepare the cream, bring the milk with sugar and vanilla pod to a boil; mix the egg yolks with flour and gradually pour in the milk-sugar mixture while stirring. Cook until thickened. Whip the softened butter and gradually incorporate the cooled custard into it. Use the resulting cream to layer the cut sponge and decorate the cake.
